Meet Mike McGee

Mike McGee is the Founder and President of Rail Industry Specialist, Inc., a position he has held since the company’s incorporation in 1994. Since its inception, Mike has helped guide the company’s continued growth by expanding and adding significant value to its portfolio of owned and managed railcars, component parts, workplace fixtures, and tools.

Mike’s career in the railroad industry began in June 1981 when he joined Evans Railcar as a Management Trainee after graduating from Northern Illinois University. He progressed from Technical Service Representative to Sales Representative, selling newly manufactured railcars and leasing used railcars from Evans Railcar’s portfolio of more than 20,000 new and used railcars of various types and configurations. He also managed a fourteen-state region focused on railcar refurbishment and cleaning services.

Before founding Rail Industry Specialist, Inc., Mike served as Director of Sales – Domestic and International for Thrall Car – RoadRailer, where he was responsible for selling and licensing the advanced engineering technology of the RoadRailer Mark IV and Mark V trailers.

With more than 40 years of experience in the railroad industry, Mike brings extensive industry knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to providing innovative solutions and delivering value to Rail Industry Specialist, Inc. customers.

Meet Dominic Mazzuca

Dominic Mazzuca joined Rail Industry Specialist, Inc. after graduating from Bradley University in 2022 with a degree in Supply Chain Management and Professional Sales. He began his career as an Account Manager at Echo Global Logistics, gaining valuable experience in the third-party logistics industry before transitioning into the railroad industry.

During his 3.5 years with Rail Industry Specialist, Dominic has developed hands-on experience across a wide range of railroad programs, including Railinc-Umler, railcar builds, tracking and tracing, railcar scrapping, and refurbishment. He has worked on projects throughout the United States, Cananda and Mexico and has experience navigating various FRA and AAR programs and requirements. Dominic takes pride in finding practical solutions and delivering results that exceed customer expectations.
